Blue Mountain Senior Villas

Picture of construction progress at new senior center

Construction of the Blue Mountain Senior Villas is well underway with construction expected to be completed mid-year of 2009.  Located just west of Terrace View Elementary School, this collaborative effort between the City of Grand Terrace Redevelopment Agency and Corporation for Better Housing will result in the development of a gated, high-quality senior living community offering 103 one-bedroom and 17 two-bedroom apartments.

The rents on most of the apartments will accommodate seniors on limited incomes. The Blue Mountain Senior Villas feature elevators, private entrances along interior hallways, granite counter tops, upgraded carpets, Whirlpool appliances, patios or balconies in select units, common courtyard areas, and a community/activity room for Villa residents. Building architecture reflects a Monterey style with stucco, mansard roof tiles and gables.

A 7,000 square foot senior community center has been incorporated into the development to replace the City’s aging senior center. The City will continue to offer its many senior-oriented programs within this new facility.  A 2.5 acre passive park will be constructed on the western portion of the property and will be open to the general public. The park will include seating areas and benches, walking paths, monuments and gardens.

For further information regarding occupancy and rental rates please contact Mr. Justin Hardt with the Corporation for Better Housing located at 15303 Ventura Boulevard, Suite 1100 Sherman Oaks, California 91403. Phone: (818) 905-2430.
