Grand Terrace Community Satisfaction Survey
At the January 22, 2008 City Council meeting, Council approved the contract with Probolsky Research to conduct a community survey which included gathering input from community members via a query-based telephone poll. A total of 25 questions were asked including open-ended and follow-up questions.
The importance of community surveys:
- To obtain statistically valid results from households throughout Grand Terrace
- To rate the quality of service within Grand Terrace
- To assist the City in developing, improving and implementing strategic goals and objectives for the future of the City
Details on the survey:
- A total of 2,922 Grand Terrace voter’s phone numbers, chosen randomly, were dialed, 555 people were spoken with, and 300 voters completed the survey
- The survey has a margin of error of ±5.8%
- Interviews were conducted between Saturday, February 2 through Tuesday, February 5, 2008
- The full results of the 249 page survey are available on the City’s website and copies are available at City Hall for the public to review
- Included in the full document are 34 pages of open ended responses verbatim from those polled
