Grand Terrace Elementary School
Grand Terrace currently has an award winning Child Care Center, Grand Terrace Elementary School, Terrace View Elementary School, Terrace View Middle School and Grand Terrace High School-- all are within the city limits. 

The Grand Terrace schools pride themselves in having the majority of their students stay with them throughout their schooling until they reach high school. These schools also have a very high Parent Teacher Association involvement.

Grand Terrace Elementary 

Grand Terrace Elementary was established in the early 1900s and currently has an enrollment of 710 students. The school's API ranked at 769 in 2007. This school was the first school established in Grand Terrace and still holds the school’s original school bell. A special bell tower was built, thanks to volunteers and the Grand Terrace Woman's Club, to hold the bell from the original elementary school in Highgrove circa 1893.  Today the bell is rung every school day morning.

School boundaries for Grand Terrace Elementary include all homes/multifamily west of Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Terrace View Elementary

Terrace View Elementary

Terrace View Elementary was established in the mid-1960s and currently has an enrollment of 754 students. The School has an API of 806 for 2007-2008 and is the only magnet school in Grand Terrace, specializing in a curriculum of visual and performance arts. The school prides itself on having an excellent relationship between the community, teachers, staff, and administration, which allows the school to be successful and continue to grow each year.

School boundaries include all homes/multifamily east of Mt. Vernon.

Terrace Hills Middle School

Terrace Hills Middle School was established in the mid-1970s and currently has an enrollment of over 700 students. The school’s API score  of 678 made it one of the highest ranked middle schools in the district for 2007. Terrace Hills Middle School houses the Blue Waves Swim Program and is also an extension of the Richard Rollins Community Park in Grand Terrace, which includes soccer fields, walking paths, playgrounds, and covered shelters for picnics or events.

School boundaries include all homes/multifamily in the City of Grand Terrace.

Grand Terrace High School at the Ray Abril Jr. Educational Complex

Grand Terrace High School is in it's first school year. A full comprehensive high school with the name identity of Grand Terrace, and the Career and Technology Center (small learning communities) will focus on Technology, Business and Marketing, Social Public Services and Health Services.

The Educational Grounds are named after longtime Inland Empire education advocate, Ray Abril, Jr. The complex will be a Career and Technology magnet school.
