Grand Terrace Shot Clinic

The City of Grand Terrace contracts with the City of San Bernardino Animal Control Services for all animal control complaints including:

  • Barking Dogs
  • Vicious/Roaming Animals
  • Animal Negligence Complaints
  • Dead Animals/Removal
  • Animal Health and Safety Issues
  • Loose Livestock

To report any of the above, please contact the City of San Bernardino Animal Control Dispatch at (909) 384-1304 or fill out our Citizen's Request Form.

After hours services call (909) 266-9132

Criteria for after hours/Emergency Call Outs:

  • 5pm-8am
  • Injured Animals
  • Loose "aggressive" animals
  • Animal bites/Attacks
  • Loose Livestock
  • Other dangerous or poisonous animal situations
  • Agency Assists for Fire, Police, Sheriff, etc.

For trapping wild animals such as coyotes, please call the County of San Bernardino at 1-800-472-5609. PLEASE NOTE, when calling the County please specify that this is for wild animals and not regular animal control which is contracted through the City of San Bernardino.

To adopt a pet or retrieve a lost/found animal, contact the City of San Bernardino Animal Control Shelter located at 333 Chandler Place (behind Target off “E” street) in San Bernardino, CA (909) 384-5275.

Injured animals can be taken to the Animal Emergency Clinic, located at 25541 Barton Road in Grand Terrace (909) 783-1300. The clinic is open Mon-Thurs 6pm to 8am, Fri 6pm to Mon 8am and 24 hours on holiday’s evenings and weekends. If your animal is missing we encourage you to contact the clinic to see if your pet has been taken there.


Pet Licensing and Shot Clinic
Dog Licensing

Every resident in the city who owns or has the care, custody or possession of a dog four months or older, must obtain a dog license,obtain the proper vaccinations, and pay the licensing fee. Dog licenses are issued by the City of Grand Terrace Community Services Department in City Hall 22795 Barton Road (909) 430-2201.

Cat Licensing

Voluntary cat licensing is available.

Micro-Chip Your Pet for Life!
The city has made an arrangement with AVID Micro-chips to discount their product 50% over regular veterinarian charges. The special price of $20 (half of what veterinarian’s charge) includes administering the chip and a lifetime registration in the National PETrac Registry.

Once you purchase the coupon for the implant, take your pet and the coupon to the Loma Linda Animal Hospital and they will implant the chip at no additional charge.
