1.
Why do we have to have the street sweeper clean the streets?
It is necessary to sweep as much of each curb and gutter as possible to ensure the debris is removed. The streets are kept cleaner when the sweeper has access to each curb and gutter, reducing the amount of pollutants entering the storm drain system. The City must make every effort to comply with current NPDES regulations (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System).
2.
What are the hours of street sweeping operations?
The street sweeper operates from 6 am to 3 pm on designated street sweeping dates.
3.
Where is the Street Sweeping Map?
Effective January 1, 2008, this is the official Street Sweeping Map.

4.
What are the days of street sweeping operations?
The sweeper operates during the first, second, and third Thursdays of each month. We suggest you mark your calendars each month to remind you of the designated street sweeping dates.
5.
Can I wait until the street sweeper comes onto my street before I move my car?
No. All vehicles must be off the street no later than 6 am. The sweeper’s schedule can vary each month and there is no set time schedule for each individual street. Therefore, we ask all residents to remove their vehicles from the streets during the sweeper hours of operation (6 am – 3 pm) The streets/parking is monitored by the Code Enforcement Department.
6.
What happens if I leave my car on the street during the scheduled street sweeping day?
Each street is monitored by the Code Enforcement Department and citations are issued to vehicles parked in violation. If your vehicle is parked in violation, you will receive a citation in the amount of $25 per vehicle
